To say Mariah sounds like a guest on ANY of her tracks is ludacris, honestly. She always gives main character energy imo.

if you think mariah feels like a guest in her own song is because of your internalized misogyny you have in your head that diminishes the presence of a woman and her capacity to serve cvnt for being alongside a man. it really sounds like a 'you' problem and something you should work on .

I would agree, but the rappers made it so goofy and it makes me laugh some of those weird sounds they make. haha I used to skip the song, but I really find it funny now. GIMME THAT BOTTLE OF HENNY OVER THERE. lol

I don't mind the guest rappers (although Busta overstays his welcome here by at least 2 minutes) but the problem here is that Mariah sounds like a guest on her own song. It's pretty ordinary stuff.

I think she brought a lot of sex appeal to this song. It's addictive. The original is great because, of course, it's the original, but the singer's voice was/is rather young sounding. Carey took it to the next level.
