1985年出生的Marina Lambrini Diamandis是希腊和英国的混血儿. "Diamnadis"是她的希腊姓氏.意思为"钻石Diamonds".Marina虽然出生在英国Wales,但18岁前她都住在希腊.后来才搬回伦敦念书.

Marina and the Diamonds亦是2010年BBC Sound of 2010第二名的新星,首张专辑The Family Jewel.于2010年2月发行.专辑评价很好.包含抒情小品/流行/另类/电子等不同风格.加上 Marina独特的唱腔.是一张多元化且特别的专辑,The Family Jewels发行后也顺利空降英国专辑榜第五名.
