Too many Meridian bands. Melodic Death/Metalcore , Metalcore/Post-Hardcore, Deathcore (Progressive???), Industrial Black Metal Meridian are/were great. The other ones not so much, sorry. What is this power metal? http://www.meridianband.dk/ The sad part is that this is probably like gold to the rest... Band's shouldn't share names. Not only is it lazy, but it's a logistical nightmare.

Is all of this worship for the self-titled EP? https://meridianbandaus.bandcamp.com/ I thought maybe I was missing something. I thought this was too core for the elitists. Nonetheless, it's a stellar EP and does have MDM influences.

Seems to have sounded better during the time. Still alright though, but its possible the production is the issue.

I'm not sure. Their previous effort Reformation (2013) seems like progressive or melodic hardcore. The new one might be too pop-punk for me.

Shame they don't use clean vocals much, one of the few to actually have really great cleans.

Just started listening to the melodeath Meridian and boy do I hate Last.fm's unability to handle with multiple artists of the same name.. .. Anyway, the melodeath one is astonishing. Their sound is so clear and classic, and yet, the beutiful (and I almost never use that word in the context of metal) way they use their instruments, the amazing guitar dialogues, and probably one of the best, most smooth solo parts perfecly fitting into the perfectly arranged songs.. If not for the rather mediocre vocals (MORE SINGING!).. or screw it. Despite the mediocre vocals, this is one of the best newcomer groups I heard in quite a few years.
