That is not satan. Chernabog is a massive, all-powerful demon (probably a kind dark angel) who appears as a villain in Disney's 1940 short Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria, a segment of Fantasia. The huge, nocturnal demon is based on the god of the night in Slavonic mythology.

The Russian word "лысая" (lïsaya) literally means "bald", but is used in this case figuratively for a mountain supposedly barren of trees. Bald it is.

remember when growing up in the 60's my folks had 2 box sets of classical music, 1 fromRCA and the other from Readers Digest which they never listened to(mitch miller, doris day)-this of course was one of the selections-a fine collection of music it was and my entrance into music, classic and otherwise-thanks mom and dad.
