2004
- after a year dedicated to explore his style, looking for his own sound, Manolo Deiana puts his project into practice;
- line-up: Manolo (voice and guitar), Marco Ronconi (guitar) and Fabrizio Di Martino (drummer), in cooperation with Lenny B. (bassist).

2005
- first line-up is defined with the arrival of bassist Eddy;
- Nuumak make their first single “Father of Life”.

2006
- in August Nuumak participate in the regional contest “Rumori di Fondo” and win the first award, a free registration that gives them an opportunity to record their first album “SHOUT”;
- in October they participate in the Italian selections for the “GBOB 2006” (the Global Battle Of the Bands); in Rome they win the votes of the jury and audience and go to the national final in Bologna, 5th November, where they win the title of the best Italian band that must represent his own country at the World final at the famous Astoria in London.

2007
- in February Nuumak close, for Rock TV, the concert of “Rezophonic” to the “Vidia Club” in Cesena;
- they are contacted by an American agency to go in Arizona for a tour;
- Marco Ronconi leaves the group and Alessandro De Tommaso (Tommy) becomes the new guitarist;
- they participate and win another contest in Suzzara (Mantova);
- in Autumn they try again to join in “GBOB 2007” and go to the national final, to “People of Art” in Modena;
- they are contacted by an agent of Italian GBOB to support a Finnish female hard rock band, Meldrum, accompanied by one of the greatest and most representative metal drummers, Gene Hoglan;
- in December after being contacted by a British magazine of alternative music, Devolution, their song “Slave” will be inserted in the compilation of the magazine.

2008
- brought into the Nuumak Ciro Autiero, programmer of Groove Box;
- in May they go to Poland to play in “Rebel Angels Tour Vol. 3”;
- in August Nuumak open with Pino Scotto the concert in Suzzara;
- Eddy decides to leave the group and in autumn Lenny becomes the new bassist; the new line-up is defined.

2009-2010
- Nuumak work to search new sonority, new music for the new album.

2011
- they start to record the new album;
- Nuumak participate in the contest “All the Rock 2011” in Grosseto where arrive at the final in Asciano.

In 2004, after a year dedicated to explore his style, looking for his own sound, Manolo Deiana, singer and guitarist, puts his project into practice. The aim is to form a strong and well-matched band, able to face the world music in every variety.
He with his childhood friend Marco Ronconi (guitarist), Fabrizio Di Martino (drummer) and in cooperation with Lenny B. (bassist) starts out their first single.
In the autumn of 2005 the first line-up is defined with the arrival of bassist, Eddy, and Nuumak make their first single “Father of life”.
They don’t want to have limits of genre and sound, their idea is to develop metal sound, aggressiveness and impulsiveness, with dark influences to better express the melody and the sound.
In the summer of 2006 the band participates and wins the regional contest “Rumori di Fondo”. The first award is a free registration that gives the group an opportunity to record his first album “Shout”.
At the end of that year Nuumak find the first satisfactions because they decide to participate in the “GBOB 2006” (the Global Battle Of the Bands), the worlds biggest live talent competition for bands of all genres.
In October begin the first hard selections where there are many determined bands that want arrive to the “World Final” but already in Rome, Nuumak show their strength winning the votes of the jury and audience; they pass the first step and go to the national final in Bologna where win the title of the best Italian band that must represent his own country at the World Final at the famous Astoria in London.
It has been a wonderful experience that has given them the opportunity to reverse the stupid and limited vision of Italian music in the world. Those who expected the usual “pop band” had to change their mind, remained, instead, impressed by the scenic impact due not only to a different genre from the usual Italian band, or to high technical quality, but also to the particular personal look, original than the other 24 bands in competition. This is the most important thing that Nuumak want to show.
Appear reviews of Nuumak in many magazines, newspapers and blogs, even since the Italian selections, also by jurors who they have met in Rome and Bologna. Nuumak close 2006 with this great and amazing experience, very important for their musical growth.
Also the beginning of 2007 looks promising; thanks to Mario Riso they close, for Rock TV, the concert of “Rezophonic” (Riso is the creator) to the “Vidia Club” in Cesena (one of the historic premises of the Italian East Coast that represents the history of Italian and international rock scene).
In the same month they are contacted by an American agency and, in anticipation of a tour, they decide to call a second guitarist, Alessandro De Tommaso (Tommy) to develop even more their own sound.
Before leaving for American tour they participate in another contest in Suzzara (Mantova); also here they conquer the jury and win.
After come back from America they try again to join in “GBOB 2007” and arrive in the national final, to “People of Art” in Modena. They don’t win but are contacted by an agent of Italian GBOB to support a Finnish female hard rock band “Meldrum” who are accompanied by one of the greatest and most representative metal drummers Gene Hoglan, an international star who has worked for many groups such as Death, Testament, Dark Angel, Slayer (now with Strappin Young Lad) and many others. During the tour around Italy with them, Nuumak live an important experience that allows them to increase their artistic baggage.
In December 2007 after being contacted by a British magazine of alternative music, Devolution, their song “Slave” will be inserted in the compilation of the magazine.
In January 2008 brought into the Nuumak Ciro Autiero, a programmer of Groove Box, who helps the band to compose new songs through electronic parts.
In May of the same year Nuumak go to Poland to play in “Rebel Angels Tour Vol. 3”.
A few months later, in August, they open with Pino Scotto the concert in Suzzara.
After that Eddy decides to leave Nuumak and it’s in the autumn that the band decides it is time to search for a new bassist and they chose Lenny. Defined the new line-up they spend two years to search new sonority, new music and they are finally ready to make a new album; the results are tested in Grosseto, to the contest “All the Rock 2011” where they arrive at the final in Asciano.

- prende forma il progetto Nuumak dall’idea di Manolo Deiana, dopo un intero anno dedicato a studiare a fondo la propria musica, alla ricerca di un proprio sound;
- line-up: Manolo (voce e chitarra), Marco Ronconi (chitarra) e Fabrizio Di Martino (batteria), con la collaborazione di Lenny B. (basso).

2005
- entra il bassista ufficiale Eddy e si completa la prima line-up del gruppo;
- con la formazione dei Nuumak nasce il primo singolo “Father of Life”.

2006
- prime uscite live, tra le più importanti:
• ad agosto partecipano al concorso regionale “Rumori di Fondo” e vincono il primo premio, una registrazione gratis, che gli permette di incidere il primo cd “SHOUT”;
• in autunno partecipano alle selezioni italiane per la finale del “GBOB 2006” (the Global Battle Of the Bands); prima a Roma dove conquistano nettamente i voti di giuria e pubblico; poi alla finale nazionale di Bologna, il 5 novembre, dove tra 6 bands finaliste i Nuumak si aggiudicano il trofeo di miglior band italiana con l’incarico di rappresentare il proprio Paese al famoso teatro Astoria di Londra dove suoneranno il 12 dicembre.

2007
- a febbraio chiudono il concerto dei “Rezophonic” (Rock TV) al “Vidia Club” di Cesena;
- vengono contattati da un’agenzia americana per un tour in Arizona;
- esce Marco Ronconi ed entra il nuovo chitarrista, Alessandro De Tommaso (Tommy);
- partecipano e vincono il concorso di Suzzara (Mantova);
- in autunno si iscrivono al “GBOB 2007” arrivando alla finale nazionale “People of Art” di Modena;
- vengono contattati dai rappresentanti della GBOB Italia per fare da supporto alla band hard rock femminile finlandese “Meldrum”, accompagnata da uno dei più grandi e rappresentativi batteristi metal, Gene Hoglan;
- a dicembre vengono contattati dalla rivista inglese di musica alternativa, Devolution, e la loro canzone “Slave” verrà inserita nella compilation della rivista.

2008
- entra un nuovo componente, Ciro Autiero (programmatore Groove Box);
- a maggio partono per la Polonia per suonare al “Rebel Angels Tour Vol. 3”;
- ad agosto suonano con Pino Scotto a Suzzara;
- esce Eddy ed entra il nuovo bassista Lenny ed è così definita la nuova line-up.

2009-2010
- i Nuumak si fermano in studio alla ricerca di nuove sonorità per l’ideazione del nuovo cd.

2011
- iniziano le registrazioni del nuovo cd;
- partecipano al concorso “All the Rock 2011” a Grosseto e arrivano alla finale che si terrà ad Asciano il 2 giugno

Dopo un intero anno dedicato a studiare a fondo la propria musica, alla ricerca di un proprio sound, Manolo Deiana, cantante e chitarrista, nel 2004 mette in pratica il proprio progetto. Lo scopo è quello di formare una band forte ed affiatata, in grado di affrontare il mondo musicale nelle sue diverse sfaccettature.
Insieme al suo amico d’infanzia, Marco Ronconi (chitarrista), e a Fabrizio Di Martino (batterista) inizia a delineare i primi pezzi, ai quali presterà la propria collaborazione Lenny B. (bassista).
Nell’autunno 2005 con l’arrivo del bassista (Eddy), si definisce la prima line-up del gruppo ed è così che si formano i Nuumak e nasce il primo singolo “Father of Life”.
I Nuumak non vogliono avere limiti di genere e di suono, vogliono estremizzare tutto ciò che passa loro per la testa perché la loro idea è quella di sviluppare sonorità METAL, quindi immediatezza e irruenza, ma anche con influenze DARK, per esprimere al meglio la voglia di melodia e creazione del suono.
La loro prima uscita live è del febbraio 2006 in un locale della loro città; in estate partecipano e vincono il concorso regionale “Rumori di Fondo”. Il primo premio è una registrazione gratis che dà al gruppo la possibilità di incidere il primo cd “SHOUT”.
Ma è alla fine dello stesso anno che trovano le prime soddisfazioni; infatti, decidono di partecipare al “GBOB 2006” (the Global Battle Of the Bands); il più grande concorso internazionale che ha lo scopo di rendere celebri i migliori talenti musicali mondiali.
A ottobre iniziano le prime dure selezioni; sono tante e agguerrite le bands che aspirano ad arrivare a Londra ma già a Roma i Nuumak mostrano la loro forza conquistando nettamente i voti di giuria e pubblico, che li porterà alla finale nazionale di Bologna, il 5 novembre 2006. Sono 6 le bands finaliste ma i Nuumak si aggiudicano il titolo di miglior band italiana con l’incarico di rappresentare il proprio Paese al famoso teatro Astoria di Londra il 12 dicembre 2006.
Oltre ad essere stata una magnifica e impagabile esperienza il live di Londra ha dato la possibilità ai Nuumak di ribaltare quella che era una stupida e limitata visione della musica italiana nel resto del mondo. Chi si aspettava le classiche “marionette pop” si è dovuto ricredere; è rimasto, invece, colpito dal forte impatto scenico dovuto non solo ad un genere musicale diverso dalla solita band italiana, dall’alta qualità tecnica, ma anche ad un look personale attento ai particolari ed originale rispetto alle altre 24 bands in concorso. Ed è questo che ai Nuumak interessava dimostrare. Sin dalle selezioni italiane appaiono su molte riviste, giornali e blog recensioni dei Nuumak, anche da parte di giurati incontrati a Roma e Bologna. I Nuumak chiudono così il 2006 con questa esperienza grandiosa e significativa per la loro cultura e crescita musicale.
Anche l’inizio del 2007 si presenta promettente; a febbraio, grazie a Mario Riso, chiudono al “Vidia Club” di Cesena (uno dei locali storici della East Coast italiana che rappresenta la storia della scena rock italiana e internazionale) il concerto per Rock TV dei “Rezophonic” (di cui Riso è il creatore e ideatore). Nello stesso mese vengono contattati da un’agenzia americana e, in previsione di un tour, decidono di far entrare un quinto componente, il chitarrista Alessandro De Tommaso (Tommy), per potenziare ancora di più il proprio sound.
In attesa del tour americano i Nuumak si mettono di nuovo in gioco iscrivendosi all’ennesimo concorso, quello di Suzzara (Mantova); e anche qui conquistano la giuria arrivando primi.
Tornati dall’America provano di nuovo a conquistare Londra iscrivendosi al “GBOB 2007” e arrivano alle finali nazionali, al “People of Art” di Modena. Questa volta non ce la fanno ma vengono contattati dai rappresentanti della GBOB Italia per fare da supporto alla band hard rock femminile finlandese, “Meldrum”, accompagnata da uno dei più grandi e rappresentativi batteristi metal, Gene Hoglan, star internazionale che ha lavorato per molti gruppi quali Death, Testament, Dark Angel, Slayer (attualmente con i Strappin Young Lad) e tanti altri. Con lui, durante i live in giro per l’Italia, vivono un’importante esperienza professionale che permette loro di accrescere il proprio bagaglio artistico.
A dicembre 2007 dopo essere stati contattati dalla rivista inglese di musica alternativa, Devolution, la loro canzone “Slave” verrà inserita nella compilation della rivista stessa.
A gennaio 2008 inizia a lavorare con i Nuumak anche Ciro Autiero, programmatore di Groove Box che contribuisce, con parti elettroniche, ai nuovi pezzi della band.
A maggio dello stesso anno i Nuumak partono per la Polonia per suonare nel “Rebel Angels Tour Vol. 3”.
Qualche mese più tardi, ad agosto, aprono con Pino Scotto il concerto a Suzzara.
Per i Nuumak ancora cambiamenti, esce Eddy ed entra il nuovo bassista Lenny; definita la nuova line-up si fermano per due anni durante i quali si mettono alla ricerca di nuove sonorità, nuove musiche per l’ideazione del secondo cd; i risultati vengono testati a Grosseto, al concorso ”All the Rock 2011”, dove arrivano alla finale che si terrà ad Asciano il 2 giugno.
