A great band, sadly (or quite the contrary, fortunately, depending on your point of view) their debut is so strong they never managed to top it - for me at least. And honestly, I doubt they ever will. Still I like all their releases.

Rain Without End still one of the best death/doom albums ever recorded. This band have had so many reincarnations and yet they've never come close to record anything as good as their debut.

decided to make a list of albums/songs similar to early katatonia metal albums (before 2000) (https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Deithwen/katatonic/). also wrote why I find it similar, maybe it will be useful for someone. please suggest if you find something similar. October Tide, Opeth, Daylight Dies, Slumber, Klimt 1918, Blazing Eternity, Forgotten Woods, Hybernoid, Oblivio are already there.

As far as I know the Norrman brothers have only co-written a handful of songs, although that doesn't mean the loss of the brothers didn't affect the band's musical transformation.

I see your point but I don't think that song being the one with more scrobbles has anything to do with it being in Swedish. It would sound good if it was sang in English too.
