No, I think the recording quality on the new album is perfect. They haven't changed much with the times and I am all for that because Overcome will always sound like Overcome. It would sound just silly if they did an over produced album just because of all the other Facedown bands. This is the era that got me into hardcore and I'm stoked to see them still writing such awesome stuff.

I understand the early albums and the sound they have, and I respect them for their impact on the genre. But why does the new album sound like it does in today's age? The recording quality is simply horrible (imo) and these guys could do so much better...and Facedown quality is usually pretty good. Oh well.

Overcome has now returned in 2010. But, this is not a reunion. This is a new era of the band. As time moves on life will always have its challenges and changes. Jason Stinson the front man and main song writer for Overcome lead the band through 7 years of these challenges and changes. All of them rewarding. For the last several years it was time to focus and do “life” apart from this band. Now a new opportunity has once again become a reality and Overcome has returned with new members and new music. More important than all of this isn’t what has changed, but what hasn’t and will never change. That is our purpose and our message. Be ready… a new flame is burning.
