Damn. I never knew this was the original song Daft Punk used for their essential mix right at the beginning...it's such a cool intro with Pete Tong saying "this is the greatest thing since sliced bread...well, sliced pair I suppose. This week's essential mix is by DAFT PUNK...." and boom 2 hours of greatness

This was maybe the song that made me finally get into the real house scene from the states. I remember that Around The World by Daft Punk also helped, with that one I understood the good points of the french scene, but when I listened to this gem on the 1997 Essential Mix by Thomas & Guy-Man... oh shit, I started to see & feel the vibe into the disco influenced house and the style from the states when talking about the real warehouse. I still remember how I burned a few CD-RWs with that Essential Mix for when I was not at home, and listened it for hours and hours on the beach with a discman, I don't know how I didn't lose my ears. "Hear The Music" was a dope cut and it always will be. What a song... you know, this is the kind of house sound that marks your entire life. Thanks Paul.
