Unexpectedly liked the album "Sequential" by Pete Namlook & DJ Criss (whoever that second guy is:). It is very much on the techno side - with destinct Detroit-techno feel in many instances, I'd say, - but has some good interesting ambient moments as well. And it has in general a very Namlookian atmosphere: his characteristic melodies, voice samples, track structures and cast of synths seem to all be here in one way or another and make for a very coherent and engaging listening experience. I'd even go as far as to say that it's a hidden gem, on par with the somewhat less deeply hidden "Air" albums mentioned bellow (but let's be honest: all Namlook is basically hidden from the major audiences' eye for some reason:).

I miss him so much, a true legend.

I figured you might be interested in knowing that for the first time since his far too early death in 2012, a lot of Pete Namlook’s works are now available on Spotify. Also a lot of his projects with Tetsu Inoue e.g. 2350 Broadway… Shades Of Orion are there! If there is one artist whose albums should be spread through this surreal world, it has to be Pete‘s...

It's a real loss that his solo music disappeared from streaming services. Only few collab albums remained (including wodnerful dark side of the moog albums recorded with K.Schulze).

Прошел год, как не стало великолепного музыканта и основателя лейбла FAX г69/450464. Плохо, что Пит и его коллеги по лейблу мение известны, чем Клаус Шульце, Браин Ино и другие пионеры жанра эмбиент. Лично я считаю, что многие работы музыкантов из FAX нужно сохранять как эталоны эмбиента.

pete's music introduced me into ambient, too. i was into (hard)trance at this time and i became a fan of his trance related releases. he released some incredible trance stuff. limelight for example was a milestone in my opinion. pete was a musicial genius.

;_; Read just now that he died. What a terrible loss. It's odd, I was just listening to his Fires of Ork albums with Geir Jenssen last week and hadn't even realized at the time that he was gone.

His music was my first introduction into ambient music over ten years ago. I was sad to hear that he passed away. May he rest in peace.

What a loss! Namlook was visionary artist, with a huge collection of great electronic music. You will be missed!
