I remember waking up to this song when my parents decided to take the family on a road trip to Florida. I look outside and saw that the water of the Gulf was covered by a thin layer of oil, from the BP spill I think. It was a strange moment to say the least

(a slight reminds) also, the end reminds me said alien stuck in a trash smasher and fleeing in between the smashing machines.

reminds me of an old jazz musicians guitar having a nervous breakdown and the sound that emits from it as it does such. ash's voice is just oddly sinister in his cadence. alien rock, new genre to fit this song.
