A doujin circle is not limited to arrangements, the meaning of doujinshi means self-released. Since they release their work by themselves during popular events such as Reitaisai, Comiket or M3 and not through a company or label they are therefore a doujin circle.

Is the Japanese Primary really a doujin circle? From they booklets, and website, I didn't see them saying the albums are re-arrangements of other music. Or I just don't read enough?

I'm starting to like more of the Japanese Primary's songs. Meis Clauson and yuiko are a pretty good combination.

I don't see anything wrong with it, there's plenty of artist names that only refer to the lead/singer. Besides, she wrote on her site that starting from 2009 both her doujin releases and "pro" ones are to be under "yuiko". Aside from all this however, I'm also pretty sure that the person whose bio you found is not the same yuiko as the one from the Primary circle. Obviously the last.fm staff has much more important things on their hands than sorting out this chaos with multiple artists. Like redesigning perfectly functional pages.
