there's something special about this, it simultaneously seems better than most of the core Ghost Box stuff (which I love aesthetically but never really draws me in like this), and also the Stranger Things soundtrack-esque retro synth wave scene which it can vaguely sound like. It somehow really sidesteps any of the major cheese factor either of these "genres" have.
