guys i need help what band is like similar to rush in terms of topic and message??? like I really like rush because the don't talk about love n sex and stuff like that a lot. but like bands that are recommended to me as similar to rush do talk about that stuff! i want a band that is nerdy like rush and talks about the things happening in the world (like in heresy or bravado from roll the bones or Afterimage)

Rush 50 is a nice treat, I love the alternate versions and additional live tracks :) Great history of this one of a kind group.

I honestly think Neil Peart might be the best lyricist of all time. Anagram (For Mongo) has so much clever wordplay, but there's so much else... the whole Clockwork Angels album, the Cygnus duology, Presto, Natural Science, 2112, Dreamline, Red Sector A... and a hundred more. He's not only one of the greatest drummers of all time, he's one of our greatest poets, and I wish that was more recognised. I mean, for God's sake, almost every song he's written lyrics for are a literary masterpiece - and I'm not saying this lightly, I'm a giant book nerd and have read so many books (an absolutely ridiculous amount), and Neil Peart is still among my top 5 literary inspirations.

Watched Rush: Beyond Stage Lights last night and came back to their full catalog. What a pleasure to listen to.

It's not only the music they created is as unique and great as it can get. The fact that they stayed sober most of their music career is unique and great in itself.
