At the time of the demo's release, Epica was still known as Sahara Dust and its female vocalist was Helena [artist]Iren Michaelsen[/artist]. But the Sahara Dust demo has been sung in by [artist]Simone Simons[/artist] and not Helena Iren Michaelsen what thinks many people. There are of the demo but 200 copy's of and by the band himself have been spent. The two songs on this demo ('Cry For The Moon' and 'Illusive Consensus') were re-recorded and released later on The Phantom Agony.

its a fact that simone doesnt have a strong voice and I really think helena is better. simone (for me ) sounds quite untrained in my opinion.

Helena sounds a bit like Floor Jansen while Simone's voice is unique, i like her better =)

Both are very good singers. Today we have 2 good bands: Epica and Imperia and i enjoy to listen both of them
