Memories are like this. They just dart out from behind some place in our mind and sometimes startle us. "Where the heck did that come from?" That song, that phrase, that visual impact of something screaming across your brain as your eyes take it all in. It's all memories. Why can we designate sandpaper from sheepskin by touching it? Memory. Why do some things smell so good? Memory. Remember that lady we loved a while back that wore that fabulous scent you are smelling now on the elevator? Memory.Taste? Memory. Dreams? -- weird, jumbled up contorted memories. Like a computer, it is all in there. And digging up memories can be very pleasant, or very un pleasant. Be careful what you put in there. It just might come back to haunt you...
