'Violin' player for Hawkwind? Simon House was integral to Hawkwind's sound from 'Hall of the Mountain Grill' through to 'Quark' - in addition, his use of mellotron and fuzz organ added to the band's distinctiveness during one of their most creative periods. Due to disarray in the Hawks, he joined Bowie's band in 1978, although here he was mainly limited to the violin.
