This song blows my mind whenever I hear it. Who cares about the label, it's music that has major balls.

This drummer blows my mind. Playing like that in '69 AND singing like that simultaneously? I have much to aspire to ;)

We can sit here classifying it as all sorts of hard, soft, stoner, and magical metal and rock. The very simple reason this IS called heavy metal is because this was the first thing to BE called heavy metal. That's a fact. As for what it is, that's up to the listener's interpretation! Whatever you want to call it, you can't deny the influence on a huge variety of music that really got huge later in the 80s.

This song is ten times more heavy then any amon amarth or similar stuff. Some sick drumming.

i love how they classify this as heavy metal. i do not consider this heavy metal. just because you use hard guitars and stuff does not make it heavy metal. this is rock pure and simple. i like this group and will seek out the albums to add to my collection. file this under hard rock if you want...but not heavy metal.

I bought the album randomly in 1975 at CO-OP in Peoria, Il for 50 cents; I think I gave 18 cents for the 8 track. Those were the days. Still have the album along with their other disc; not as good though.
