remember when TV Ghost played rotten and spastic synthpunk? I want those guys back

I thought the new single was real guff. TV Ghost was heading down some brown, boring road. littered with bands aping some the well-known UK 80s post punk like Echo and the Bunnymen, Chameleons and Joy Division. Whilst I'm sure just about every review will reach for those touchstones because good music writing is practically dead. I think TV Ghost have evolved out of a completely different world, a different set of influences and this is just where they've ended up. TV Ghost have completely clowned me and this is the record of the year.

Great. sounds exactly like scratch acid, but great!

Some excellent and spooky stuff here. Definitely sounds like Ian McCulloch circa Heaven Up Here. And lol @ whomever is tagging this as 'noise rock'.

These guys playing on the same bill as the Spits is going to be insanely awesome. I'd be an idiot to miss it.

@BertEngle. throw out yr Animal Collective and Dirty Projectors snoozefest LPs see TV Ghost live. i dont think their records have really captured how beastly they can be.

Nice bio, I like how it makes it sound like this band is something to fear instead of just watered down post-punk without any variety.
