I assume people like the cover because they're sentimental, and the cover is more straightforward. This original version is too upbeat, it's like a masked depression which is definitely harder to understand. Those who find it familiar would surely appreciate Tears for Fears' version far, far more, including me.

Something seriously wrong with a person when they claim that an artist "should be killed" for covering a song they like in a style they don't. Just don't listen to it, you know. And maybe see a shrink about your murder ideations.

Kinda, yeah. You don't have to be physically five, to be mentally five. And there are plenty of those. Some of those even in leading government positions. Mad world, huh?

Absolutely way better than the cover. It's depression but it's a jam, how can anyone not think that's better than just depression?
