The production on this track is mind-wrenching regardless of context, but when you consider it was conceived in 1969 it really becomds quite astonishing. Lie to friends and tell them it was released by an independent label Japanese chillwave band only last week and they won't even question it

Sunflower got/gets unjustly overlooked. It should've been the rebirth of a creative Beach Boys.. instead, just a few years later they went back to the hits after Endless Summer... and the rest is history.. Can't believe this album didn't sell.
