the bass and piano during the verse give it a sort of nice, sinister vibe, which i quite like a lot. at least thats how it seems for me

I like both versions, though the disco version is simply far too long, It out-stays its welcome.

Wild Honey version? fantastic. LA version? probably one of the very worst songs ever recorded by any truly great band ever.

The Wild Honey version in my mind is superior, and the much more satisfying does have a lot to do with it. It doesn't a lot of the ideas the disco version did, but it's more overall pleasing in what was presented. Here it sounds bouncy along with the darker chorus. I don't consider a favorite on Wild Honey, but that's mainly because of the many great songs. 3.5/5

Well,here comes the biggest problem people have with L.A.First off though, this is way too long.Lots of unnecessary bits and tiring well before it's over, but I must say that I don't have a problem with the Beach Boys doing disco. They seemed to put a lot of work into it, and gave it a shot.But I think one could shave off 5 to 6 minutes,keeping the cool parts intact(and yes there are some). 2.5/5
