The power of this song cannot be overstated. I heard a concert with Beatles music arranged for orchestra and when they played this song I just started sobbing uncontrollably. Paul’s songs especially just translate so well into a classical format, he really is the pop music Mozart. John’s songs were often thought to be better lyrically, but hearing them all without words it is actually Paul’s songs that often have the richer musical formula.
