If you read the lyrics literally, I believe the meaning becomes clear. It is about a young woman with a "fabulous invention" and "glorious intentions". People tell her that she is "not the first to dream this" and mockingly call her "little girl". But "she doesn't do what they tell her to" and they are surprised that she "finds a power greater than their own". Going ahead with her dream, "all plans come together" and "she flies over clouds" (the fabulous invention is an aircraft!). The song also hints that she vanishes, "no-one can find her". There is only one person who fits this description - Amelia Earhart. The famous pilot who, in spite of her young age, flew alone across the Atlantic and later disappeared.

This just opens up a bigger picture for this song, never did i imagine as such years and years ago. Still remains as my most favourite track of them!

Hard to say... it sounds more like falling into insanity to me. Or it could be something supernatural where the girl literally did go through all this. It's left up for imaginations.

Love the song, but they really need to label these properly, this is the earlier version off of Nothing & Nowhere. The version off of Violet is done a lot better.
