I agree with Spikerdelic, there's more than two. i recall seeing the ska entity in Rochester back in my RIT days, i even bought the album. i believe was called, There's A One In Eight Chance I'm Your Father. twas a good band, i really liked that album! and some of the songs are in the charts...

There are two bands here - The Blackouts, who were great and way ahead of their time, and the Living Blue, who USED to be called the blackouts (for their first two albums) but then changed when they heard the name was already taken.

oh well, theres like 3 bands mixed up on here but they all sound good so I don't mind.

There are (were) at least 3 Blackouts bands, and the songs of at least 2 of them appear to be mixed in here. Jedi Master, Hard Guy, and others are by the Rochester, NY incarnation. My nephew Brendan Simms was in this group (now of Long Lake - see page on MySpace). Then there's apparently an Illinois group, a Seattle group, and possibly a San Francisco one. Popular name for a group...

I think the Seattle band didn't use a The in their name...just Blackouts. At least that's how it appears on the retrospective CD that came out a few years back.

yea...the blackouts were also one of the first seattle punk bands in the early 80's
