Listening to the album "Strange Days" the second by the band. Released in 1967 with all song writing credited to the entire band. The album, although reaching #3 on the charts, was considered by the producer, Paul A Rothchild, to be a commercial failure because he expected it would top the Beatles and all others in sales. Remember with all the great music released in 1967 the top selling album in the USA was "More Of The Monkees" by The Monkees.
