why isn't this more popular? I mean, The Mountain Goats are/is kind of a legend. But I have to say I found this band yesterday, so that's kinda makes sense.

this is kind of a long shot, but whatever: years ago, when I was in high school, I had this Extra Glenns live bootleg. It had How I Left The Ministry and Carmen Cicero on it, both songs that I absolutely LOVE but that it is hard to find quality versions of. This show seemed professionally recorded, it may have been a radio session or something. My computer crashed a couple years ago and I have been totally unable to find this show since. Does anyone know anything about it/have a copy (I know JD is cool with people non-commercially available recordings)? I would be so psyched. other things about this bootleg: -it used to be freely available in its entirety on epitonic.com. -they false started on Baltimore a bunch of times. -it had most of the songs from Martial Arts weekend on it, but not All Rooms Cable A/C Free Coffee. -It was recorded in a non-English speaking country. Possibly the Netherlands? the announcer sounded Dutch.

empty shoutbox? Why, this is certainly a phenomenon. Can't anybody tell me more about the band? I'm feverishly in love with John Darnielle's voice..would you recommend then?
