This band showed up in my 'Discovery Weekly' on Spotify today, and I am, with a few words, blown away by the blend of their traditional music, mixed with metal, and the use of their vocals. Love it.

Под определенное настроение такое может и зайдет иногда, но в целом скучная хуета, монгольские мотивы разбавленные звучанием Apocalyptica и попсовой ритмикой. Даже дебютник Korpiklaani куда более атмосферный и шаманский, а тут пафосный глянец.

Yeah, I have no idea who is calling this metal.. It's not bad, but it's not even remotely similar to anything in the metal category. This is more folk rock.

I'd actually argue that it could be considered metal, it's just that most fusion metal genres mix power or even thrash metal with folk/classical/etc, where this is more of the classic heavy metal. I will concede that more songs seem to be more hard rock than metal, but I don't think it's incorrect to call it metal. But then, genres are subjective up to a point, so.

Genres are not really subjective, subjective is our feeling about them. But this feeling comes from our experience - so, if someone listen to genre for one year, is less able to catch differences and "essence" than the one who listen for ten years. | Also, I'd really want to hear heavy metal elements in this. I also think it's not metal at all. Except you call all the songs on The Gereg ballads. Then, maybe. But ballad is specific for heavy metal, and heavy metal bands which were more into ballads than heaviness were called hard rock (simplifying the subject, of course ;)
