New album is so awesome like 10 times better than the 1st one!

This new album is what I expected when THE came out... it will be one of the most listened albums of 2025 in my library, that's for sure

Days of the Lost was good but MotU is a big step up

I liked a few songs on the first album but wasn't fully sold on this band. March of the Unheard is excellent. More riffs and more catchy leads all over the place

New album releases in January. Both of the singles sound great. 🤘 I missed out on them including the 2 apparently not going on the album which also sound awesome. Stanne has been busy with pushing out new albums across Grand Cadaver, Dark Tranquillity and this.

I just learnt about this, haven't heard anything yet but it's a dream come true.

As someone's that's been listening to Dark Tranquillity since I was 16, and I'm now 37, The Halo Effect does not fkin sound like Dark Tranquillity and idk what the hell is wrong with metal fans, and people in general, with your completely absurd expectations in all things. They play the Gothenburg death metal style, the formula was established in 1989. How are you realistically expecting, or WANTING, a dramatic paradigm shift? Of course they play a similar style, THAT'S ENTIRELY THE POINT. Every DT album I've heard since 2005~ has been spectacular, and as The Halo Effect is, I don't WANT them to change - that's the opposite of what I'd want as a fan if they suddenly sounded different. 🤷‍♀️

It's basically "light" version of DT. I wish they'd do something new. Eh.

As others are saying: Nothing new but that sound is so comforting, feels like home.

I agree with the statement below, nothing new, but their debut is a fun listen and hopefully we get to hear more from them soon!

Saw these guys live yesterday. It was a blast, they're really good. Sadly enough Jesper couldn't make it to the concert so he got replaced, but I love to see the oldskool 'In Flames' line-up again live.

I was worried this might be a washed-up attempt at musicians trying to live their glory days, but this is actually pretty incredible. Hopefully they continue to release stuff for years to come.

Holy mother of mediocrity. Not that it's bad, but it's definitely one of the most redundant supergroups I can think of. Anything DT or IF does nowadays, sounds exactly the same. Soilwork, however, is actually way ahead of the curve these days.
