I'm a recent newcomer to The Hold Steady, I have heard and liked some of their songs (Chips Ahoy, Sequestered in Memphis) but just never got around to buying any of their albums. I recently bought Heaven Is Whenever and I am very glad I did. fatwang says it's a bit to LA for him, I'd say that's exactly why I like it so much, and Hurricane J is a standout.
