I really appreciate this band's output but holy fuck the first two sentences of their Spotify bio are so cringe inducing. Cars and girls lmao, delusional (pasting it in case they ever change it): "When a band takes its name from one of the metaphysical British poet William Blake's most allegorical and impenetrable poems, it clearly isn't taking the easy route to fame and fortune. In keeping with their titular inspiration, the Human Abstract favor a brainy, progressive take on contemporary metal and hardcore that looks beyond the usual cars-and-girls themes."

Yeah, holy crap, why on earth is Vela consistently their most popular song? It's easily the weakest track on Nocturne and one of the weakest tracks in their entire discography after the entirety of Midheaven

IMO as a long time listener Digital Veil >>>>> Nocturne >>>>>>>>> Midheaven. Also I'm surprised about how long this hiatus has lasted. If I remember correctly it was the drummer(?) that made the break up post on FB and then later on something came out from a different member about how it wasn't the full band's decision to end it.

My god this band is so fucking complicated... First: they make a masterpiece called Nocturne. Second: they release a weird album that pretty much no one liked. Third: They can't handle their hormones and bitch with their first vocalist,Lead guitar egocentric leaves and comes back from school. Then took a fucking life to release something nice but not above Nocturne with some random douche with mental issues, then get a temporal replacement for a mini tour and after all a release.... I guess we can call it EP... awesome but wtf.. then on hiatus and what's next?? fucking call it quits ffs this band was never meant to be one!.

I hope they come back after their hiatus with a bang. This band is one of the most underrated ones in the scene (imo). Their music is perfect and they perfected it more with the release of Digital Veil. I still come back to listen their stuff after years and years. They visited once in my country but I missed that show :(
