This is my favorite song of all time. I show it to every new person I date and they usually say it's a fine song. One day I'll meet someone who loves it to their core when I show it to them and I'll marry that person. This will be our song.

Don't be. The National usually hides the complexities of their songs behind apparently simple facades. This song specifically sounds pretty shallow and straightforward the first instances you listen to it.
