Great band that was signed to Dischord Records. Too bad they were a short-lived band. I got both of their albums. I remember I wanted to check them out since they were signed to Dischord Records and I've liked most if not all bands signed to that label.

i prefer wanted: more, too. ep's in general are 90% better than bands' full lengths, though, imo; it always seems like they have no filler compared to a full length by any given band....... anyway, the warmers are one of my all time favorite bands. i love the minimal skeletal sound they have with the one note riffs and whatnot. it is purposely awkward and deceptively "simple" yet a deeper inspection reveals a startling complexity to their music that isn't obvious right away, as the music is constantly pushing and pulling itself apart, as all the members play loose and outside of structures and melodies (especially the drummer -- isn't amy farina's mostly-hihat and -toms approach one of the finest drumming displays in music history?!). also love the creepy vibe to this. this reminds me of pod-era breeder covering fugazi. or even an early precursor to erase errata's first album, especially production wise and in the song structures. genius band.

After returning to this after quite a long time, I noticed that although they retain that post-hardcore DC sound that I was familiar with years ago, I'm picking up a resemblance to the likes of Shellac, too. Hmm. It's refreshing. Also, I guess their underground DC status meant that a lot of people who should've heard this band probably didn't, but come on, AMY FARINA is on drums...wicked! With the Evens and everything going on now, this band should be somewhat posthumously popular at least.
