Imagine performing, recording, and producing this song, finishing it, listening to it back, and shipping it out like that. That was something real people did and the conception of this song actually happened. Seriously, what the actual fuck. How do you make this and not just immediately cry and scream and kill yourself because you created something even God was FAR too afraid to. I refuse to believe human beings manifested this thing into existence, The Weeknd definitely sold his soul to Satan in return for the most diabolical song I have ever heard. I don't deserve this song. You don't deserve this song. No ear by a single specimen deserves to be graced with the absolute privilege of listening to this thing but holy fuck I am glad I could. Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, at my funeral can you please spit on my corpse and wipe it off with your dirty shoe? I deserve it, we'll be even after.

This is my favorite song of all-time. I genuinely feel like it is impossible for me to even describe the feeling this song gives me but I am going to try my best. As pretentious and snobby as it might sound, this song really is an out of body experience. When I hear it, I feel so immersed in Abel's life at the time. An empty, vapid, meaningless life full of sex, money, drugs, women, parties, etc. You really are just taking a peak into his life, and holy fuck is it dark. It's so bleak and depressing but at the same time you feel like a god when you listen to it, as if the drugs, the glory, the power... it all makes you feeling empty but at the same time like you are so mad with power that you can do quite literally anything. Several hundred listens of this thing and I still don't know whether I should be horrified by it or bow down to its greatness. It is the closest thing to the audio representation of seeing god himself. Fuck.
