This is a new project and brainchild of Frank Caruso and Corrado Ciceri that features screamer extraordinaire Mark Boals. This one is a very diverse album. It hits with a heavy rock/metal tune with some modern touches and continues with a more melodic hard rocker but with really heavy guitars. From here and on and after 3 heavy rockers the album changes to a more melodic path. “An Angel Cries” is a fantastic ballad that features some really emotional singing by Mark while “Tonight” and “Without You” are very nice melodic rockers with plenty of acoustic guitars. The other 2 songs are instrumental, one in a bluesier path while the closer is a very nice ballad-y style. This is a very interesting album mostly because of the stunning voice of Mark Boals. It is very diverse because of its many influences (metal, rock, blues, etc) but at the bottom end this is a good one and I believe every heavy rock fan will enjoy listening to it. http://www.thunder-rising.com
