Words cannot explain my frustration with Victory Records. I want my copy of The Hand that Thieves AND my live EP! Asshats.

Glad I pirated the new TK album, Victory are complete assclowns for cancelling it. It's really good. I prefer the SM version overall (as usual) but the TK version has some surprisingly strong points.

I wonder if the Streetlight Lullabies album would have blown me away so much if I hadn't fallen so dearly in love with the Streetlight versions already. I feel pretty confident that they would have, but the comparison between the two versions is pretty powerful, too. Only one way to tell... MAKE A DAMN SOLO ALBUM, TOMAS.

@AlexGVega, I definitely think it could have complimented it well. But, on the other hand, I don't think it was absolutely necessary. There's something heartbreakingly great about just Tomas' voice and the guitar work together. I've always loved his acoustic encores during shows, too.

His voice being panned way over to the left is really weirding me out on headphones.

I think it's pretty good, Tomas sounds pretty bored in the album, but I'm not sure if that's supposed to be an intended effect or not seeing how they are "Lullabies". As nice as it is hearing the same 10 songs I've heard by now two other bands. It certainly makes me excited for the new OC album.

Sole1: It's a covers album of Streetlight Manifesto songs, slowed down to their original nature, hence the name - to warn SM fans that they're "lullaby" versions of songs they know and love. This was obviously not intended to be a Streetlight Manifesto release - that's why "Toh Kay" released it, so that the fans of the lyricism/composition behind the finely-tuned madness that is SM can slow things down and really appreciate all the heart that Tomas puts into every damn song. This isn't new Streetlight material - that's coming in 2012 (hopefully). I'm personally really enjoying the album. Some songs that I never really enjoyed full speed ("Sick and Sad" especially) are favorites of mine on this new release, while others that I've always loved ("A Better Place...") have impressively held their own in their new state. I understand that you don't have to like the music, but don't act like they tricked you into buying it. Their intentions were obvious.

Since Radiohead's OK Computer failed to fix my PC, I've stopped taking album titles too seriously. Besides that, boring music is _never_ release worthy. "Hey, our fans seem to like our rediculously fast punk/ska/everyothergenrecombined music. I bet they'll love this collection of utterly boring songs!". That actually does make perfect sense. You win, sir.

Sole1: You bought an album with the word "Lullabies" in the title and now you're complaining that it was boring? You don't really get it, do you? The idea is that you get to hear how the songs were originally written, before Tomas and the band added all the horns and flair. I think it's pretty eye-opening. Plus, you've got a release coming in 2012 to satisfy your desire for new SM material.
