This is an inspired song, but kind of a weak performance by BB (understandable since I think he had less than a day to learn it before this recording). I have huge respect for this senior statesman of the blues and I know what he is capable of. With a little more time to work with it, I think he'd have come up with something that tore the roof off of this version. Herbie Hancock recorded a pretty wonderful, very respectful cover of this song. Check it out. My band has tried playing this a few different ways, looking for a way to make it our own. Not quite sure we own it yet, but getting there.

B.B. is the shi* and though Bono is a bit narcassistic for me he is iconic without a doubt. Great collaboration from 2 legendary entertainers. Hate to admit it but tough to beat a U2 live performance. Rarely a opening act and they routinely play for 2 1/2 hours and tix are reasonable. Sweet !!!
