They sure evolved in all those years, since I listen to them. Discovered them back then, since Of Fracture and Failure, such a good record. Never did I expect that they would change so much and bring this new Album (Masterpiece) and the last one (Masterpiece) to us. Really excited about the future of Ulcerate!

Don't think I'm entitled to an actual opinion after listening to it only once but I already fucking love it. It's also not nearly as blatantly Stare Into Death Part II as some early opinions I read made it seem. (Not that there would have been anything wrong with sounding too much like the best album of the decade, anyway.)

Ulcerate really going hard to prove their place as the best modern death metal-band. Absolutely astonishing consistency, and as always, I'm sure the new album will be my AotY or at least very near the top. Cutting the Throat of God is another godtier (pun unintended) addition to their already stellar discography. God I love this band.

They were so damn incredible to see live with Altars! The 2 local bands were pretty meh, but Altars killed it and then Ulcerate just took it to another level.

Damn right they are. Sadly the first half of the show. 2 local bands. One some Prog Death Metal band that was really boring and I'm a Prog guy. Then Dawn of Ouroboros from Oakland and I was curious how they were live. The albums were pretty meh, but they weren't bad from a playing point of view, but the music was just the pure definition of average. They finished off with the most bubblegum fucking melody, just played through Death Metal and I was so happy they were done. Then Altars came on and just completely changed the mood into a kick-ass concert and just absolutely killed it. Preparing us all for Ulcerate.

idk pretty straight forward with busy fills similar to mgla. impressive but it gets pretty redundant if you dont love this style of drumming.
