I think shitting on prog fans is kinda missing the forest for the trees. Yes it's silly to dismiss it purely for being pop, this was a good album. BUT it's really hard to warm up to this if you're coming from a prog background, from maybe the most important prog band's past works. It's a weird one.

quite obsessed with these spontaneous popping out of nowhere synth chords. Whole song is brilliant, but my favorite part is this little crazy section at 2:26, John managed to take all these high notes, mindblowing

A lot of prog snobs seem to either dismiss or flat-out hate this song, but I quite like it myself. It may not be an epic prog masterpiece, but it's a catchy and well-crafted quality pop song.
