In 1984, Young Kin, aka. Andreas Yi-Jun Hwang was born in Basel, Switzerland. When he was only four months of age his parents (Chinese father, Swiss mother) moved to Beijing, where he has been living ever since. Growing up both in an international community and in Chinese society gave Young Kin a deep understanding of Chinese tradition and culture, without loosing contact with the outside world. At age six he attended a German international school from where he graduated in 2004.
