Right when I was listening to Duster, about to end it all, this dude popped up in my DJ mix. I gave it a few listens & decided to continue living so I could post in here about how massively repetitive his music is. Like, a few songs were ok but i was really vibing at that moment. Now when i hear it, i am reminded just how each and every fucking song is the same fucking shit. His music made me wanna live. Fuck you Spotify.

scm has a pretty decent sound in my opinion the guitar does actually get heartbreaking in a few songs but personally i find it hard to listen to anything else by liam besides ill be okay and birth day. i was listening to them over and over while going through quite some traumatic shit way over a year ago but now that all of that is over it seems difficult to listen to them again. i dont think its because of any bad memories but rather how inauthentic it feels now finding more about the artist , the lyrics (i never bothered to check/listen to them) and its place on the internet + algorithm lmao not to mention that i am over with this quiet whimpering muted style of vocals not saying scm, birth day or liam and his side projects are shit listen to whatever you want i just think the songs are easily forgettable because of their quiet and repetitive nature including the internet's both good and bad treatment of it. it doesnt feel so special after a while

Listened to a decent chunk of this guys fucking slop and honestly I didn't mind it for the longest of time. Yeah it's generic as fuck, derivative as all hell, but fuck it, it's bullshit background Spotify algorithm noise. However after seeing how many fucking """""side-projects""""" this guy has I am 100% convinced he is manipulating this shit so that no matter what you start off with, you'll always end up listeing to something this fucker made. How many fucking side-projects do you need when they ALL sound exactly the same. Do yourself a favour, find the "liam mccay's projects" playlist and ask spotify to not play any of that shit.

Yung Slowcore Entrepreneur. My generated Spotify playlist is usually 75% his projects. I skip it every time but I respect the hustle.

It's good if you're listening to him passively. It's some nice noise when you're occupied by something else like chores or homework. I wouldn't recommend trying to actively listen though, because eventually -- and I don't like to use these words -- it'll feel stale. I'm hoping his next project might be more stimulating to the ears (yes, I'm aware this is slowcore, but there are better slowcore artists!) than his sign crushes motorist records. I still appreciate that he makes his work, but I've come to realize that I don't have so many plays on his work because it's good, but rather it's because it's always something I put on in the background without close attention.
