better then IDM. And it makes sense sortof. Now I don't know how you guys listen to music, but it's like music which does not necessarily make your body, but your brain dance...

Semantics, semantics. But it seems like braindance describes the breakbeat/acid/techno-oriented stuff on Rephlex and the like, while IDM is a huge blanket term that contains all experimental electronic with its roots in the Warp sound, even if it's not necessarily danceable. Anyway, both terms have been established and are used regularly, so it's kind of silly to demand thousands of people to suddenly stop using "IDM".

The only point to this genre is so that people like Richard James don't call their music intelligent.... But in reality, IDM doesn't really mean intelligent dance music at all, the full name has disappeared.

I'm pretty sure it was intended to be a parody genre (poking fun at the term IDM in particular). however rdj is known for keeping a straight face about these things, and hence everyone believed he was serious.
