haha, I study sinology actually xD So I wouldn't say that it's obvious that I'm not well informed. I've seen only a short information about Shanghai fashion week on the TV, with few seconds of that girl singing and the music background was really modern and reminded me Bjork's music, that's why I wanted to check that. but it was only a while so maybe she's a stupid pop star, dunno :)

Zall_Onyx, You wrote that 'Chinese music is quite underplayed on Last.fm'. I think there's a lot of people in Europe and US lookin' for something like Chinese music but there should be more information about Chinese bands and artists in English, it would be very helpful. Maybe some of Chinese last.fm users could write more biographies of Chinese artists in English, it would propably make much more people listen to this music ;-)

From above, in the mountain isn't Chinese band, Niash, don't spam! What about Chinese music... I know Lonely China Day, 惘闻 (wang wen) and 后海大鲨鱼 (Queen Sea Big Shark). and I like it. Does anybody know anything about gothic rock, darkwave or dark electro in China? I've read that there's no gothic subculture in China, is that true?
