Sound Horizon also has a great operatic sound while also containing metal influences. Plus their albums (especially their most recent one) are closer to programmatic music and actual operas/plays than most of the other bands listed here.

Don't forget about Aina, they kick metal opera ass with over thirty members dedicated to that one purpose. You should check'em out HeavenDuff.

I think Avantasia and Kamelot are the only two bands I know to have ever recorded a Metal Opera.
