  In films, the score refers to the original instrumental music composed specifically to accompany and enhance the film's emotional and narrative elements. It is often orchestral or electronic and designed to align seamlessly with specific scenes. The soundtrack, however, refers to pre-existing licensed songs that are selected and used within the film. These songs are often compiled into an album and marketed separately from the score.
