Kotani Kinya (コタニキンヤ, born July 16, 1979) is a male singer and actor from Japan.

In 2006, he redid his image after a period of inactivity and released a new single, BLAZE, which is the theme song for Tsubasa Chronicle. He also released a new single, IT'S, on 2006.5.24, which is another theme song for the same show. In 2009, he resumed activities under the name コタニキンヤ. (note the period), and has been putting out releases since.

Kinya is connected with the Anime GRAVITATION which aired in Japan from 2000 to 2001. Kinya sang the closing song as well as the songs for the fictional band BAD LUCK (this is the main character's band in the anime). He has become so strongly associated with the anime that many of his non-anime singles have been mistakenly labeled as "Gravitation music".

Kinya produced by and his music was written by a band called MAD SOLDIERS, they released a mini-album called MADS LABRATORY before Kinya released his solo singles. MAD SOLDIERS is also the backing band that performs the music in his songs, and they have also played at Kinya's concerts.

Kinya has also played Nagase Kenji in the J-Drama Love Story which aired 2001.04.15 April 15, 2001 to June 24, 2001 in Japan.
