'Four of the band’s five original members did, in fact, identify as LGBTQ: Ricky, Schneider and Strickland as gay men, and Pierson, who was involved with a man until the early 2000s, is now married to a woman'

Nothing riles me up more than ‘Love Shack’ by the B-52s. First off, love doesn’t occur in a shack. It occurs in a marital bed. Secondly, a plane is not capable of love, nor fitting in a shack. Unless the shack was gigantic, which come to think of it, it is possible… Do I love this song? No, love is reserved for people, and people only.

Stone cold perfection. What I love about Love Shack is that it pulls together altogether the strengths of each individual member of the group.

Did you know a cold keg set up fits perfectly in between the seats in a Ryder truck?

This was inspired by a 1970 Temptations song called "Psychedelic Shack," which had the refrain: "Psychedelic Shack, that's where it's at." The location of the actual Love Shack is not clear, but in 2004 MSNBC reported that an unoccupied, 5-room cabin with a tin roof in Athens, Georgia that had recently burned down was probably the dwelling in question. Kate Pierson lived there in the '70s. http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=692
